Appstream for Students

Attention: apps.msjc.edu is no longer in service. Please follow the below directions on how to access specific applications through Appstream. 

AppStream File Management

1. Proceed to login.msjc.edu and log in with your credentials.

    • Enter your username

      • Students: Student ID + @my.msjc.edu (ex 0999999@my.msjc.edu)

        Employees: Username + @msjc.edu (ex jdoe@msjc.edu)

    • Enter your password

2. Once logged in select your account at the top right-hand corner of the screen.

3. A drop-down will occur, “Select SSO Portal”.

4.  Select “MSJC Appstream Misc Apps”.

5. Select “RSVP”.

6. Your session will then be prepared. This usually takes about two (2) minutes.

7. You are now connected to the RSVP Program.

8. To exit appstream select the person icon in the top right-hand corner.

9. A drop down will occur. Select “End Session”.

3. A drop-down will occur, “Select SSO Portal”.

4. Select “MSJC Appstream MS Office 2016”.

5. Select which resource you would like to connect to.

6. Your session will then be prepared. This usually takes about two (2) minutes.

7. A pop-up will occur and Select “Ask me later” and “Accept”.

8. Another pop-up will occur. Select “Next”.

9. Select “Close”.

10. To exit appstream select the person icon in the top right-hand corner.

11. A drop down will occur. Select “End Session”.

7. A pop-up window will occur. Select “Apply Existing License”.

8. To exit appstream select the person icon in the top right-hand corner.

9. A drop down will occur. Select “End Session”.

no streaming resources are available

This message indicates that there aren't enough currently running AppStream instances, and is not directly related to the application that you are trying to open (i.e. SPSS, ArcGIS, MS Office, etc.). 

To manage the number of active running AppStream instances, we attempt to predict usage and have a specific number pre-started during times of expected high usage. However, since we cannot fully predict usage by students / faculty, sometimes there are more users than we have prepared for, so there are not enough already running instances for all connecting users. When this occurs, new instances are automatically launched, but it takes about 10 minutes for those instances to become fully available for users. 

Please allow a few minutes for the system to prepare more instances and then try again.
